New Years resolutions are meant to be broken, right? I believe goals are meant to be MET, so I've decided to compile a list of goals I'd like to tackle or get started in 2009. Here they are, for your reading pleasure...
- Become a runner. I've stopped and started this one too many times in the past several years. Since 2004 actually, when I first started the Couch to 5K; I ALWAYS manage to quit for one reason or another. (Ok, so pregnancy--twice-- and completing a Masters are good reasons if any to have to quit, but I don't have any more excuses!). This year I will make my big butt pound the pavement until I can run for 30 minutes straight without stopping.
- Run a 5K before the year is over. This one is self-explanatory. I want to eventually run the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon in Virginia Beach (2010 maybe?!) but not until I complete a 5K successfully.
- Be a HOT mom by 32. I've made an attempt at this goal several times, but this time I'm going to accomplish it! I'm hoping all the running will help me achieve it. ;)
- Start eating healthier...more fish and chicken, and it doesn't count if its fried. :P
- Read more...I got back into reading (thank you, Stephanie Meyer!) and I had forgotten how much I LOVE it. No school for me this year, so I need to feed my brain somehow. :)

Good goals! What do you mean by run a 5k successfuly, though? I think as long as you finish you're successful. LOL Kidding... Are you trying to finish at a certain time? I'm still trying to get my times and goals for running straight. :p
