25 Things About Me (that you may or may not have known)...

I did this on Facebook...let's see if I can come up with 25 more. :)

1. Once, in college, I had my Jeep stolen...right off campus! It was weird because I had stopped by my Jeep before class to drop off some stuff, went to class (which was right next to the parking lot it was stolen from) and 45 minutes later my Jeep was GONE! :( Apparently some guy was going around campus and stealing Jeeps. The police found mine parked a couple streets over in the "bad" part of Norfolk.

2. When I was 23, I worked for Red Bull and Red Bull has a reputation of getting into events in an "unconventional" way. We were told by our boss to never pay to get into events...use your charm and wits. Ha. A co-worker of mine (who I still keep in touch with...love her!) and I had the bright idea of trying to get into the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards concert (with Destiny's Child, Sisqo, O-Town, among others)...and we did! We actually got V.I.P. access and got to see the concert for free. We didn't get to go backstage, but whatever. :)

3. My first job ever was KFC. I never tell people this because I worked there for one day and didn't go back. It was disgusting.

4. I met 3 people from the Mickey Mouse Club when I was in junior high: Chase Hampton, Albert Fields, and Damon Pampolina. They were at Lynnhaven Mall! They signed a gift box for me. :)

5. After my freshman year at ODU, I took a year off because I thought college wasn't for me. My parents told me that if I wasn't going to school, I had to work full-time. I found a full-time position at Montgomery Ward. Yeah, I went back to college quick, thank goodness.

6. Once, I was at the Edge (ah, the "Block!") with some girlfriends, dancing and having a good time when police came up to me and escorted me OUT of the bar! Apparently it was a case of mistaken identity...they thought I had punched some girl in the face. When they brought me to the girl, she was like, "No! NOT her!" Whew.

7. A month after I got married my parents put their house up for rent and moved to Pasadena, CA. I got married in December and by February my husband and my parents had abanonded me.

8. I once threw up in those baggy things that are on airplanes. I was on a flight from Charlotte, NC to LAX. I've used Dramamine on every flight after that since.

9. I went to Disney World with my bff when I was 16 years old. We went to see a show that required audience participation and I was chosen to come up on stage. I was supposed to scream at a certain time and ended up screaming when I wasn't supposed to. I was so embarrassed.

10. I don't know how to use chopsticks.

11. I didn't have a 1st period or last period senior year. I specifically scheduled my classes this way so that no one would see me driving my dad's big white 1983 Buick Regal to school. I cared so much what people thought about me back then!

12. I used to forge letters for my brother when he skipped school.

13. I almost joined the Coast Guard during my freshman year in college. Augh, can you imagine?!
14. I do all the finances in our household: keeping the checkbook, paying the bills, disbursing funds to the appropriate accounts, etc. Mike has no idea how much he gets paid. LOL.

15. I ordered online so much and had UPS deliveries so often when Mike was deployed that once, when Mike got home and we were at the mall, my UPS guy was delivering in the mall and yelled from across the way, "Hey, Mrs. Phillips! How are you doing? You haven't been getting many deliveries lately!" *dies*

16. My all-time favorite restaurant is Guadalajara on Shore Drive (in Virginia Beach). Mike and I used to go there so often they were like family.

17. I lived at home until I was 24. Hey, it was free.

18. Mike proposed at Asia Garden on Laskin Road (now Plaza Azteca) the day I graduated from ODU.

19. My current wedding ring set is not the one I got married in. I got married in a .60 carat diamond solitaire set in yellow gold, with a plain 4mm yellow gold band. 6 months later Mike upgraded my engagment ring to a 1 carat set in platinum prongs with a white gold band (remind me to tell you a funny story about this one...I'll save it for #20) and a wht gold 1 carat shared prong diamond band. We toy around with the idea of upgrading again but I don't feel right being a SAHM with a 2 carat ring.

20. When we got my new engagement ring I told everyone it was set in platinum. I was 1/2 right. The paperwork on my ring stated that the diamond was indeed set in platinum but DUH that meant the PRONGS. The rest of the ring is white gold. LOLOLOLOL.

21. I don't spend enough time outdoors with my kids. I'm trying to change this.

22. I used to have many penpals when I was in middle school. Some of these penpals I still keep in touch with, thanks to Facebook. :)

23. Jordan Knight was my favorite New Kid.

24. I have just learned how to get rid of paperwork. You can still dig through our closets and find bank statements and bills from 2001.

25. I'd rather spend $300 on 3 things than $300 on 1 thing.
