I bit the bullet. Again.

I like to run during the day, preferably in the morning. By the time Mike gets home from work, on most days I am spent and don't feel like doing anything remotely related to exercise. That, and Florida summers are just too brutal to run at any time other than the early morning hours. So just run in the mornings, right? Or just run on the treadmill right?

Well, yes. I could just run on the treadmill, but I get sooooooo bored after 30 minutes. That and I need the workout of running on pavement. The treadmill is great for logging in miles and increasing endurance, but I'm ready for the outdoors.

And yes, I could just run in the mornings. There's only one problem. Well, two...their names are Noah & Caleb. :) My two little joys happen to need someone to watch them while I'm running outdoors. And since I don't have the luxury of dropping them off with Grandma and Grams, or anyone else for that matter, I have decided to purchase a double jogging stroller. Yes, this is stroller #923657 for the Phillips' household. :P To justify my purchase though, I did sell 3 strollers at our garage sale last month. :)
I didn't get the highly coveted BOB Revolution Dualie because I just couldn't spend $500 on a stroller...not after my Dyson purchase. :P Mike and I have been running with Instep jogging strollers for 3 years now and they have held up prefectly. Our oldest one was bought in 2006 and is as good as new. We're not marathon runners who log in 20 miles a day, or even a week; the stroller will be for my runs mostly, and its a good week if I run 8-10 miles all week. With that said, I decided on the Instep Safari Double Jogging Stroller. Walmart was having Rollbacks on their jogging strollers so we got a great deal, plus with their Site-to-Store shipping option, shipping was FREE. :)
I know this stroller will come in handy for more than just running...with its swivel front wheel (which can also lock when running) we can use it out and about too, if we had to.
Happy early Mother's Day to me. :)
