I got to run today! I woke up with every intention to do so, but with 2 little crazies, sometimes good intentions fall flat. I thought this morning was going to be one of those days when Caleb's AM nap started creeping into the late morning hours...but around 9:45AM he decided to wake up and after a quick snack, it was off to the gym! :)
Running really is the best therapy for me. I need to remember that when I'm feeling icky (like yesterday), I just need to put on the running sneaks and hit the road (or the treadmill)...seriously. I'll be totally honest...at first, I was NOT feeling this morning's run. I had my mind on other things...we have a busy weekend ahead of us...but I never regret going for a run, although I DO regret skipping them. So I started slow and kept it steady for the first half of my run...after 20 minutes I got bored, but didn't want to stop, so I played with the control panel a bit-- increasing speed and incline, bringing it back down again, bringing it up again. It made the last 15 minutes go by really quickly so i think I'll do that again when I'm on the treadmill.
Workout stats: 2.5 miles, 33 minutes, 360 calories burned.
This weekend we've got to prepare for Grandma & Grandpa P's visit...they'll be here either on Sunday or Monday and plan on staying a week. We're super excited for their visit. :) We also plan on having a little party to celebrate Caleb's first birthday while they're here. :)
Well, I got both kids to nap today (Noah usually doesn't nap) so I'm going to go and enjoy my quiet time! 'Til next time...
