Today we decided to take Grandma and Grandpa P to Foley, AL to visit the outlets and eat at the famous Lamberts Cafe , which was featured on the Travel Channel's World's Best Places to Pig Out. People come to Lamberts not only for the yummy Southern comfort food (think meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and open-faced roast beef sandwiches), but for the fun atmosphere as well. :)

You know you're in the South when the table's condiments include a basket of butter.

Yum butter! LOL.

Pass arounds (ie., complimentary appetizers): fried okra. Also on today's list of pass arounds: fried potatoes & onions, black eyed peas, apple butter, mac & cheese.

The roll throwers. :) They threw one at Noah and it hit him in the face...too bad I didn't have my camera ready for that one!

Gigantor mugs with yummy sweet tea. :)

My meal: meatloaf made from scratch, mashed potatoes (best I've ever had), green beans, and fried apples.

Our waitress pretended to squirt some mustard on Noah...

Noah feeling duped. :)

Our waitress had it in for Noah and pretended to spill sweet tea on him...

Caleb loved the rolls. :)

Noah and his fried shrimp. :)

This was our family's second visit to the famous eating establishment and we had tons of fun. :) Grandma & Grandpa P enjoyed it as well and loved the food. We'll definitely be visiting again! :)
