I went to a Bodypump class for the first time in MONTHS today and I was reminded of how much that class kicks butt AND of how much I love it!!! My glutes, quads, and hamstrings are in pain as I type this...its a great feeling. :) Hopefully I can get to more classes in the following weeks. Strength training really makes me feel like I'm working out, as opposed to just doing cardio. I need to get back into it again. In my one hour session, I burned 200+ calories (not sure of the exact number because my HRM decided to wig out on me). That, in addition to my 20 minute warm-up on the treadmill (10 minute run, 10 minute walk), I burned a rough total of 400 calories tonight! Woohoo!
I googled some DVD sets similar to the Bodypump philosophy and came up with the Jari Love DVDs. I sooooo need to look into these DVDs. I also came across ChaLEAN Extreme, which looks similar to P90X---Mike and I already have this set, and I'm contemplating starting this program soon.
I am completely spent tonight...I had a day of running around, an afternoon at the gym, and an evening of chasing after the kiddos. I am soooooo tired! "Til next time...
