Destin, Pottery Barn, & Change in summer plans...

We woke Sunday morning B O R E D and not knowing what to do. For those who don't know, we are NOT fans of our current town; there is nothing fun to do in our immediate area, and there isn't much in the next "big" city either. Soooo...we decided to give Destin, FL a visit. Its about an hour and 15 minutes from our town and we hadn't been there since January. We packed the kids and headed on out. The view from the bridge driving into Destin is gorgeous...there's this little spot called "Crab Island" where TONS of boats "park"...the water is really shallow in this area, so people get out and "walk" around visiting the other boats! They even had an inflatable water slide and a floating bar out there...soooooo cool. It made me wish I owned a boat...or at least know someone who did!

My view of Crab Island from the truck...wish I could have gotten closer! For dinner on Sunday we had broiled chicken breasts, asparagus, and long grain rice...
Today we had a nice surprise come in from the UPS guy...Caleb's "My First Anywhere Chair" from Pottery Barn! :) Poppy & Grams bought Noah his chair when he was a baby and got Caleb's his as well. Now they have matching PB chairs...too bad the font doesn't match perfectly...yes, this will bother me!
The red PB chairs...
The boys in their chairs...
Another one of the boys in their chairs. :)
And just an extra picture of Noah because he's so darn handsome. ;)
As for our summer plans...we've had to tweak them a bit. We had to withdraw from Noah's swimming lessons because they required me to be in the pool with him. On base, once they turn 3, parents do not have to be in the water with the kids, so I assumed the same for this particular class...not so. I can't be in the water with Noah for an hour and keep an eye on Caleb so I chose to withdraw him. I was bummed at first because we in dire need of stuff to do around here! But then I found out that Gymboree has a new multi-age class for siblings! And the days and times work out perfectly! So I'll be taking them tomorrow to sign up. Its been almost a year since Noah's been to Gymboree, and he seems excited about it. I'm sure Caleb will LOVE it too. :)
Running stats for Monday: 2.3 miles, 30 minutes, 313 calories burned. :)
Alrighty everyone...its about that time...bed is calling me! See you all tomorrow! ;)
