Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday. :) We spent our's very nontraditionally...bright and early we headed over to Foley, AL to shop and have lunch! :) The real reason we headed over there was because poor Caleb needed some new shoes...he's got 2 pairs that we actually bought for him (he's got a ton that he inherited from Noah, but are currently too big) that he's outgrowing and he's actually gone out the past couple days barefoot. Yes, my child went out barefoot...what can we say? We live in the Redneck Riviera. :P Anyhow, we found him some shoes at Journeys Kidz...I love that store! I love, love, love Vans for my boys and we were in Vans heaven at Journeys Kids. :) Caleb ended up getting this pair and this pair. The boy always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to getting new clothes and shoes because he wears a lot of Noah's hand-me-downs and today you can tell he was quite excited in his new kicks. ;) Too bad I forgot to take pics! :P

After shopping and a quick lunch at Chick Fil A, we headed home for the boys' naptime. After Caleb went down, I managed to run out to get a pedicure!!! Many light years ago, I used to get pedicures twice a month...after I had Noah, I got them maybe once every couple months...now, I'm lucky if I get them twice a year! I only really go when I notice the bottom of my feet getting really nasty; I usually just do my own toes now. Anyway, since I've started running, the bottoms of my feet have gotten really rough, soooo I made a quick getaway to the nail salon this afternoon. I even got my eyebrows waxed. I feel like a woman again. :) Here's a pic of my newly pedicured feet. I got them painted with OPI Dutch Tulips.

Since the boys go to bed soooo early (7PM for Caleb and 7:30-8:00PM for Noah), we didn't go out to watch any fireworks...instead Babydaddy and I baked some cupcakes! Don't ask why, we just felt like it. :)

We used Disney's CARS cupcake liners...Noah will enjoy that. :)
The finished product...YUMMO! We used cream cheese frosting...so good, but soooo bad!

Well folks...I'm going to go and enjoy the rest of my night...I hope you all do too! :)
