Military Spouse Appreciation & what Daddy does when Mommy is away.

I attended NAS Whiting Field's inaugural Military Spouse Appreciation luncheon today and came away with a renewed sense of pride for what we do as spouses. I was also really shocked to see how young the majority of these wives were! Our base is mainly a training base for student pilots and the majority of the pilots coming through are Ensigns/2nd Lts straight outta their commissioning program, so we're talking 22, 23, 24 years old. A lot of these student pilots are married to really young women! (Or maybe I'm just old and they look really young to me). Even Babydaddy commented when he saw a bunch of them crossing the street to the luncheon; he thought there was some kind of pool party going on at the base pool. LOL. For the first time since I've attended military functions, I felt like the old lady. :P lol.

Anyway, let me back up a little...for breakfast I tried a new version of Cheerios I picked up earlier in the week: Apple Cinnamon! It was quite delish. :)

As I was getting ready to leave for the luncheon, I realized that my bedroom had become really quiet...Caleb wasn't throwing things around and I couldn't hear him yelling at Noah on the bed...I walked in and saw that he had learned how to climb on the bed! Sigh. He's really become quite the monkey in the last couple days. I had Babydaddy lower his crib to the lowest slots today.
I took the kids on base to Babydaddy's office so we could trade vehicles so that he could take the kids home. I informed him that he needed to feed them lunch, so he got them some chicken. Caleb's got this habit where he throws everything from his highchair tray to the floor and screams and yells to get let out. When we let him out, he proceeds to eat off the floor! So Mike took it upon himself to skip a step and put Caleb's highchair tray on the floor with the food on it. Caleb ate his lunch that way! The things Daddy does when Mommy is away...
SIGH.
I didn't make it to the gym today...the fam & I decided to spend some time together since Daddy was off for the rest of the day. :) I'll make it tomorrow, I promise! :) Have a good night folks!

What a hilarious solution to the food throwing problem!
