After waking up in a grumpy mood at 5:30 AM to Caleb yelling at the top of his lungs (he woke Noah up, which got me even grumpier) I made it to the gym, half-heartedly around 10AM. Even as I was driving up to the gym I kept thinking, Augh, I do NOT want to workout! but I knew I needed to, so I made my way through the parking lot, dropped the boys off at Kid Kare and hit the tread. I'm so glad I did! I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the elliptical. I used a different elliptical today, the Precor EFX 556, which I like sooooo much better than the Lifestyle or Nautilus ellipticals. Anyway, I burned a total of 475 calories in 40 minutes today. :)
Here are a couple picutes of the Precor elliptical I worked out on today...
I'm hoping to make it to the gym tomorrow after the military spouse appreciation luncheon on base...I'll probably just pack my gym bag and head over to the base gym. We shall see. :) Hopefully lunch isn't too heavy. ;) Babydaddy took time off so that I could attend the luncheon; I was totally not going to go if I had the 2 rugrats tagging along! Speaking of Babydaddy...I totally, 100% appreciate him because he is very sensitive to the fact that I stay home with the kids all day. I love that he makes a conscious effort to get his workouts done in the morning so that when he's off work, he's off work. He's not high maintenance and he doesn't require a manroom to get away from us, nor does he like anything that takes too much time away from his kids, or me. :) Don't get me wrong, he will go out every now and then and enjoy himself, but I just appreciate that his "hobbies" don't take any him away from family time. Also, he's 100% hands-on with his kids (although I do have to chase him down to change a poop diaper every now and then!) and gets down and dirty with them...no chore is off-limits for him; I'm sure his helpfulness contributes to the fact that I haven't fully lost my mind. :) Oh, another great thing is he supports my fitness pursuits and never moans and groans if I live the house in the afternoons for a group class as soon as he walks in the door from work. :) So there are my words of appreciation for my military man. :) Appreciation can definitely go both ways!
Alrighty folks...gonna sign off for now...enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!
