Monday's run.

It might have been because I ran in the afternoon, rather than my preferred time in the morning. It might have been because I was using the base gym's treadmill and not my usual gym's treadmill. It might have been because my new Nike shirt kept creeping up and I had to keep pulling it down. It might have been because I was in a foul mood and negativity was getting the best of me. Whatever the case, my 30 minute workout sucked.

I started out with my usual 5 minute warm-up to my favorite warm-up song. Afterwards, I tuned my ipod to my favorite "getting started" song and started running. After 6 minutes I had to stop. I mentally berrated myself, walked for 2 minutes and started again. After 3 minutes I stopped. I walked for 2 minutes, ran for 3 minutes. I did this for a duration of 30 minutes. I left the gym feeling like a loser. Augh.

I got home and told Mike I needed to run our neighborhood loop (1 mile exactly) to redeem myself. I finished it in 13:11. :) I felt so much better afterwards! I started out running outdoors in September but went to indoor runs when the weather got cooler because my outdoor runs usually involve me putting Caleb in the jogger. Since moving to the treadmill, I've been a little scared of going outdoors again because I know its a world of difference out there. After yesterday I have gained the much needed confidence to get back out there. :) I'll probably try again today when Mike gets home.
